TOO FACED CHOCOLATE BAR EYE SHADOW PALETTE VS. TOO FACED SEMI SWEET CHOCOLATE BAR EYE SHADOW PALETTE
Too Faced Cosmetics is one of my favorite high end cosmetics brand. I have purchased a few products from Too Faced Cosmetics and so far I have no issues or problems with the products. I have purchased a few eye shadow palettes and a mascara. I do consider this brand to be of great quality and very pigmented eye shadows for a mid range price. I mean mid range price as in not cheap like drug store but not as expensive as other high end priced cosmetics. I do feel that the products that are sold by Too Faced Cosmetics is worth the money depending on the product you purchase. The products that I like the most is the Too Faced eye shadows. I LOVE Too Faced eye shadow products.
The two eye shadow palettes I like to blog about today is the Chocolate Bar palette and the Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar eye shadow palettes. The first palette which is the Chocolate Bar palette is very nice. The colors are very pretty for a natural or neutral type of eye look. I feel that the palette is more on the cool tone rather than the warm tone like the semi sweet palette. The colors in this eye shadow palette has many transitional shades such as Milk Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Semi Sweet, and etc. I think the crease shadows is the best thing about this palette. The colors such as Black Forest Truffle, Triple Fudge, Amaretto, Cherry Cordial, and Candied Violet is in my opinion the most pigmented colors and great crease colors for the eye lids. I feel that the Chocolate Bar palette do not appear as vibrant or the colors in the palette are not as pretty on my skin tone. I have a golden/tan/medium skin tone and some of the colors in this palette just don't look as pigmented on my skin tone. A few of the shades I cant see anything or it takes so much eye lid primer or a eye shadow pencil to help bring out the eye shadows in this palette and that is my experience with this palette. My conclusion or thoughts on this palette is that since the palette has more cool tones this palette is good for lighter skin tones rather than medium/golden/deep skin tones.
CHOCOLATE BAR PALETTE
The Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar palette is more of a versatile eye shadow palette. The palette is very rich in color and very pigmented. The colors are so beautiful and very well made to suite any skin tone with a mix of a few cool tones such as Nougat, Coconut Creme,and Mousse. The warm tones is more like the shades Truffled, Puddin, and Cocoa Chili, etc. There is one shade in the palette that has no color at all and that is the Pink Sugar. I can't see nothing much of color with that shade just glitter. The Semi Sweet palette has a mixture of shimmer or sheen type of eye shadows and matte eye shadows, which is always a good mixture for a palette to have so any kind of shadow you like to use is in that one palette. In this palette, you have a blend of colors so you don't need additional colors for a transitional color.Transitional color means a color that is used to begin the eye shadow look. This palette is great for everyday looks and evening looks. I create natural eye shadow looks as well as smokey eye looks with this palette. The Semi Sweet palette is so convenient to take with you if you are traveling because you have a range of colors to use and very pigmented that you don't have to use a eye primer because the colors in this palette is so pigmented and warm toned. You basically have all the colors you need in this one palette and that means quick, easy , and fast makeup application and no need to be looking around trying to find additional colors to use for a transitional, crease, lid, or lining of the lash line colors you have all of that in this one palette. How wonderful is that well I say the Too Faced Semi Sweet palette wins. Versatility is what means the most and pigmentation is easy application so no need to look farther when you got all you need in this one product.
